The endurance riding season in the United Arab Emirates has seen numerous notable achievements and events, particularly highlighted by the accomplishments of Emirati riders in regional competitions and the prominent performance of stables in essential local championships.
As the season approaches its conclusion at the Dubai International Endurance City and the Emirates International Village in Al Wathba, significant milestones in the endurance sport include several key events.
President’s Cup
The 26th edition of the President's Cup for endurance, covering a distance of 160 km, showcased the exemplary performance of Al Wathba Stables.
Rider Maysa Adnan won the prestigious cup atop her horse 'Sikmo,' becoming the second female rider to achieve this honor.
Al Wathba Stables secured their tenth cup title with this victory.
The runner-up was rider Saif Jumaa Al Jafla riding 'Nawi' from M7 Stables, while Rashid Mohammed Al Mehairi secured third place aboard 'Bedouin Christina' from F3 Stables.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Endurance Cup
The season finale at the Dubai International City of Endurance was marked by an exceptional performance from rider Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouei from MRM Stables, who claimed the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup over a distance of 160 km.
This victory marked his third title in this event.
Al Mazrouei reclaimed the cup title he won two editions ago aboard the same horse, 'Magic Glen Torque' from MRM Stables.
He achieved two titles within 48 hours at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Festival, winning the Ladies Cup over 120 km before taking the championship in the main event of the 18th festival edition.
Notably, MRM Stables opened the season by securing the Saih Al Salam Challenge with the same rider and horse, concluding the Dubai races with the same duo.
Dubai Crown Prince Cup
F3 Stables regained the Dubai Crown Prince Cup through rider Majid Jamal Zaal Al Mehairi, winning the 17th edition aboard the mare 'Evita Larzac.' His stablemate, Rashid Mohammed Ateeq Al Mehairi, finished second on 'Abendamas Rockabilly,' while Argentine rider Melina Mendez took third place on 'Bolivo Peru' from M7 Stables.
AlUla Cup
Emirati riders excelled at the prestigious AlUla Cup in Saudi Arabia, with Saif Hamad Malhouf seizing the title over 160 km aboard 'Hama' from M7 Stables.
Khaled Al Khiyari, also from M7, finished as the runner-up riding 'SW Jiska,' and Uruguayan rider Matias Hernandez from Al Ain Stables secured third place on 'Khirgan.' Abdullah Ali Al Amri was the runner-up in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup over 120 km, riding 'Chardel Jagger' from F3 Stables, while Saif Al Mazrouei finished third on 'Abila de El Anklos' from MRM Stables.
Qatar Cup
Rider Salem Hamad Malhouf Al Ketbi continued his streak of external competition successes by winning the Amir of Qatar Cup over a distance of 120 km aboard 'Mubhar' from M7 Stables.
Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouei finished second riding 'Quadrillion' from MRM.
This represents the third consecutive win for Emirati riders in this competition.
