Indian Singer Shreya Basu Contributes to Pakistani Ramadan Drama's Soundtrack

Shreya Basu, a Mumbai-based singer, has gained attention in Pakistan for her work on the original soundtrack (OST) of Hum TV’s Ramadan drama, _Dil Waali Gali Mein_.
The show stars prominent actors Sajal Ali and Hamza Sohail.
Basu expressed her excitement on social media, stating, "how incredibly grateful I am to be a part of 'Dil Wali Gali Mein!'" In an interview, she described the experience as her first foray into playback singing, calling it "a dream come true" and emphasizing the magic of having her voice integrated into a larger production.
The collaboration came about when music producer Atif Khan recognized Basu’s previous work and reached out to her for this project.
Basu acknowledged her appreciation for Pakistani music and television dramas, noting the creativity and talent emerging from the region.
Basu's singing career began in childhood, first participating in a singing competition before joining _Rajadhiraj_, a major musical in India.
There, she had the opportunity to perform alongside esteemed artists such as Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal.
She responded to comparisons with Ghoshal, saying, "That's a huge compliment, as Shreya is an incredible artist," while asserting her hope that listeners will find her voice and style uniquely her own.
Additionally, Basu hinted at an upcoming project that she is eager to share with the public.
