Israeli Airstrike in Southern Lebanon Results in Two Fatalities
Two individuals killed and several injured following an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle near Brachit.
On Thursday afternoon, an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle on the road connecting the towns of Brachit and Bait Yahoun in southern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to several others.
This information was confirmed by the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
Since a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel was enacted on November 27, it has been extended until February 18; however, airstrikes by Israeli forces in various regions of southern and eastern Lebanon continue on a near-daily basis.
The Israeli military maintains positions in several areas of southern Lebanon and has reportedly opened fire on citizens in the region.
