Moroccan Player Adel Taarabt Seeks Contract Termination with Al Nasr
Midfielder Adel Taarabt requests to sever ties with Al Nasr amid absences and dissatisfaction over his substitution.
Moroccan midfielder Adel Taarabt has officially requested the termination of his contract with Al Nasr Football Club, according to recent statements from both sources close to the club and official announcements.
This development comes as Taarabt, who serves as the team captain, has been notably absent from training sessions since Al Nasr secured victory in the UAE-Qatar Super Cup against Qatar SC, held last Friday.
A source informed 'Al-Bayan' that the administration of Al Nasr is contemplating taking legal actions against Taarabt due to his failure to attend mandatory training sessions, particularly as the club prepares for its upcoming match against Al Ain in the 13th round of the ADNOC Pro League.
The issue appears to have stemmed from Taarabt's dissatisfaction during the match against Qatar SC. He expressed visible frustration following his substitution early in the second half and subsequently left for the dressing room.
Intervention from the team management was required to bring Taarabt back onto the field to partake in the celebration and award ceremony.
While his contract with Al Nasr is set to expire at the end of the current season, there has yet to be any formal negotiation between the player and the club regarding a potential contract renewal.
This has led to speculation that Taarabt might be entertaining offers during the current winter transfer window.
Al Nasr has officially attributed Taarabt's absence from the upcoming clash against Al Ain to 'personal reasons', as stated on the club's official website.
