Nestlé Relocates Regional Headquarters to Dubai Expo City

Strengthening ties between global businesses and Dubai's vision for a sustainable future
In a move that underscores Dubai's growing appeal as a global business hub, Nestlé, the world's largest food and beverage company, has announced the relocation of its Middle East and North Africa headquarters to Dubai Expo City.

The announcement was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chairman of Dubai Expo City Authority, alongside Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Dubai Expo City Authority.

Under a long-term lease agreement, the Swiss multinational will occupy a sprawling 44,000 square feet of office space across three buildings.

This strategic move positions Nestlé among the largest tenants in what is set to become the Expo Downtown area of the city, one of five vibrant, mixed-use districts in the Expo City master plan.

Nestlé's new location offers a prime vantage point to leverage the collaborative and enabling ecosystem of the city, with proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and the Dubai Exhibition Centre, poised to be the region's largest indoor event venue.

Manal Al Bayat, CEO of Partnerships at Dubai Expo City, remarked, "Nestlé's decision to relocate its Middle East and North Africa offices to Dubai Expo City underscores the allure of our burgeoning business community.

Here, companies from around the globe can connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Given Nestlé's prominence and its status as a key tenant, this move reaffirms Expo City's central role in shaping Dubai's future.

We eagerly welcome more enterprises that share our vision, working together towards our common goals."

Nahla Kamel, Director of Corporate Affairs, Sustainability, Marketing, and Consumer Communications at Nestlé Middle East and North Africa, expressed enthusiasm about the relocation: "We are excited to move our regional headquarters to Dubai Expo City.

This step places us in a dynamic, innovative ecosystem within a LEED-certified building, exemplifying our shared commitment to sustainability.

We look forward to deepening our collaboration with Dubai Expo City to create a supportive workplace that enhances employee well-being and contributes to the UAE's sustainable development ambitions."

Expo City, one of the five urban centres outlined in Dubai's 2040 Urban Master Plan, embodies sustainable urban development principles.

It is the region's first community registered under the WELL Community Standard, setting a global benchmark for prioritizing health and well-being.

This announcement reinforces Expo City's role as a hub for sectors leading the implementation of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).

The city's world-class free zone already hosts industry giants like DNV, DP World, the Emirates Group's Innovation Hub, Fujifilm, and Bank Yu, alongside a range of startups, SMEs, and retailers.

With an inviting environment featuring pedestrian-friendly, family, and pet-friendly parks close to iconic destinations, and a year-round calendar of festivals and activities, Expo City emerges as an attractive destination for companies focused on enhancing work-life balance and promoting healthier, more active lifestyles.
