Philippines Implements Visa-Free Entry for Indian Tourists Starting June 2025

Indian nationals can visit the Philippines without a visa for a duration of up to 30 days under new immigration guidelines.
Beginning June 8, 2025, Indian nationals will have the opportunity to enter the Philippines without a visa for up to 30 days under newly announced immigration regulations.

This information was confirmed through an advisory from the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai.

According to the updated visa policy, Indian passport holders will be allowed visa-free entry for tourism purposes for up to 14 days.

To qualify for this entry, travelers must adhere to specific requirements: they must possess a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay, have confirmed hotel accommodations or bookings, demonstrate proof of financial capacity, and hold a return or onward ticket to another country.

It is important to note that the 14-day visa-free stay is non-extendible and cannot be converted into a different visa status, necessitating that visitors leave the country before the two-week period concludes.

In a provision for certain travelers, Indian nationals who hold valid visas or residence permits from the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Schengen states, Singapore, or the United Kingdom—collectively referred to as AJACSSUK countries—will be eligible for a longer visa-free stay of up to 30 days.

This extended stay also adheres to the non-extendible rule and requires the same entry conditions, including a valid passport and a return or onward ticket.

Both categories of travelers must also be clear of any derogatory immigration records with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI).

The advisory highlights that the visa-free entry is strictly applicable for short-term tourism purposes.

Indian nationals intending to transit through the Philippines or engage in long-term visits or other non-tourism activities must apply for the appropriate Philippine visa at a Philippine Embassy or Consulate located in their country of origin or in any country that mandates entry visas for Indian nationals.

This revision in immigration policy is anticipated to facilitate travel for many Indian expatriates residing in the United Arab Emirates.
