Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Opens Gulf Information Security Conference and Exhibition

The event highlights cutting-edge cybersecurity innovations and features global leaders in the field.
Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Council for Ports and Borders Security, inaugurated the Gulf Information Security Conference and Exhibition (GISEC Global 2025) today.

This event, recognized as the largest cybersecurity exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, runs from May 6 to May 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme 'Securing a Future Powered by Artificial Intelligence'.

During his visit, Sheikh Mansoor explored the latest technologies and innovative digital solutions from various specialized cybersecurity companies and institutions.

He toured several national and international pavilions, emphasizing that GISEC Global serves as a leading platform reflecting the UAE's commitment to enhancing cybersecurity and anticipating a secure technological future.

'We are proud to host this global event that brings together minds and expertise from around the world to develop solutions that keep pace with the rapid digital innovation and enhance community trust in the digital landscape,' stated Sheikh Mansoor.

Accompanied by H.E. Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of the Dubai Digital Authority, Sheikh Mansoor visited the Dubai Cybersecurity Centre, the government entity responsible for developing and implementing strategic cybersecurity policies in the emirate.

He was briefed on the Centre's key initiatives, including the 'Dubai Cyber Challenge', which targets government employees and aims to enhance the preparedness of government entities against cybersecurity threats through advanced real-world scenarios.

This initiative is part of the Centre’s efforts to prepare and hone the skills of a new generation of cybersecurity experts through a range of technical challenges and practical training in a competitive environment.

The Sheikh also visited the 'Dubai Cyber Challenge' pavilion, an innovative initiative designed to discover and develop young talents in digital security through competitions and tests that simulate real-world attacks.

He showed interest in the Cybersecurity Council pavilion, the federal authority responsible for formulating national policies in digital security and boosting cybersecurity readiness across the country.

Among the pavilions included in his itinerary was that of 'Etisalat', showcasing its latest network security solutions and safeguarding digital infrastructure, as well as the pavilion of CPX & Partners, a UAE-based company providing advanced cybersecurity consulting services and working on developing a robust cybersecurity infrastructure for vital sectors in the country.

Sheikh Mansoor’s tour included the German pavilion and the Microsoft booth, which presented Microsoft’s cutting-edge technologies in cloud computing, machine learning, and cybersecurity.

He also visited the Huawei pavilion, which displayed advanced security solutions for data centers and smart networks.

Furthermore, Sheikh Mansoor explored the booths of Google Cloud Security, which showcased its smart tools for protecting data and infrastructure across cloud computing platforms, and Cisco, a leading American company in cybersecurity protection networks and cloud computing solutions.

The 14th edition of the exhibition and conference brings together more than 450 chief information security officers and 25,000 specialists from 160 countries, along with over 750 brands from technology giants and innovative startups globally.

The startup pavilion this year marks its largest participation to date, featuring 125 companies.

GISEC Global 2025 reinforces the UAE's status as a leading force in cybersecurity, occurring at a time when the global cybersecurity market is projected to reach $298.5 billion by 2028, according to reports.

The three-day event includes a series of inspiring panel discussions, exciting innovation showcases, and new programs addressing the key trends in the cybersecurity industry.

This year’s exhibition introduces notable new events, including the 'Dubai Cyber Challenge', organized by the Dubai Cybersecurity Centre, featuring a 'Capture the Flag' competition in which teams from 25 government entities in Dubai compete over two days in web security challenges and digital investigations.

The agenda of the GISEC Global 2025 conference focuses on artificial intelligence, featuring specialized sessions such as 'Harnessing AI to Enhance Cyber Resilience' and 'Hacking with AI', showcasing how leading cybersecurity officials utilize machine learning to identify advanced threats.

The conference program includes more than 300 hours of content related to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, with over 350 speakers engaged in round tables, panel discussions, and high-level meetings.
