Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Receives Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
Discussions focus on bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and Qatar during a festive meeting.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, at Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting, held on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, was marked by mutual greetings and well-wishes for the celebration, with both leaders expressing hopes for prosperity for their nations and people.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and extended wishes for the continued prosperity of the UAE.
In return, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed sent his regards back to the Emir of Qatar, expressing his best wishes for Qatar and its citizens.
During their discussions, the two leaders addressed the fraternal relations between their countries and various aspects of cooperation and joint work aimed at benefiting both nations and achieving their common interests.
They also exchanged views on several issues of mutual concern.
Attending the meeting at Al Bateen Palace were a number of dignitaries, including Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in the Al Dhafra Region, and other senior officials and ministers.
Earlier in the day, the Qatari Prime Minister arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, where he was received by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed and other officials.
