Sheikh Mohammed Launches Humanitarian Campaign in the UAE
Over 277,000 participants contribute to a fundraising effort totaling 3.72 billion dirhams.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, announced the launch of the 'Humanitarian Endowment Campaign' on social media platform X. The initiative was unveiled during the early days of the month traditionally associated with acts of charity.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed gratitude for the overwhelming participation in the campaign, which exceeded 277,000 individuals.
The campaign successfully raised a total of 3.72 billion dirhams (approximately $1.01 billion) for various humanitarian causes.
In his remarks, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the nation's reputation as a blessed land, emphasizing its commitment to benevolence, accomplishment, tolerance, safety, stability, and prosperity.
He acknowledged the contributions of all participants in the campaign, thanking them for their efforts in supporting this noble cause.
As the campaign reached its conclusion, Sheikh Mohammed extended prayers for the acceptance of good deeds and highlighted the significance of community involvement in enhancing the country’s social welfare framework.
The message reinforced the UAE's values of generosity and solidarity, as well as its ongoing initiatives to foster humanitarian efforts both locally and globally.
