Discussions Focus on Strengthening UAE-US Strategic Partnership and Economic Ties
Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, met with President Donald Trump of the United States on Wednesday during a dinner banquet held at the White House.

The meeting included the presence of senior US officials.

At the outset, Sheikh Tahnoon conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Trump, wishing further progress and prosperity for both the American leader and the American people.

During the discussions, Sheikh Tahnoon expressed appreciation to President Trump for the warm reception and hospitality, illustrating the depth of relations between the UAE and the US.

The dialogue between the two leaders centered on enhancing the long-term strategic partnership between their countries, focusing on mutual interests.

Sheikh Tahnoon reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to fortifying economic relations with the US, emphasizing the expansion of partnerships and promoting investments in key sectors such as artificial intelligence, technology, infrastructure, and healthcare.

Sheikh Tahnoon acknowledged President Trump's leadership and economic policies, which he stated have been instrumental in fostering foreign direct investment and establishing strong economic partnerships.

As part of Sheikh Tahnoon's official visit to the US, he previously met with Scott Bessent, US Secretary of the Treasury, on Tuesday.

The two discussed areas of cooperation between the UAE and the US in economic and financial sectors, identifying opportunities to enhance their collaboration in alignment with the interests of both nations.

Emphasizing the strategic relations between the UAE and the US, Sheikh Tahnoon pointed to the robust cooperation in the financial and business markets, noting the significant opportunities present in both countries that could further bolster their partnership, particularly in advanced technology and artificial intelligence.

In addition, Sheikh Tahnoon met with Michael Waltz, US National Security Adviser, where they exchanged views on advancing bilateral relations and addressing current challenges, with a focus on regional and global security and stability.

Their discussions included commitments to tackle ongoing challenges and seize developmental opportunities, emphasizing collaboration in areas like advanced technology, energy, and joint investments.

Sheikh Tahnoon also engaged with international business executives to explore strategic partnerships with the UAE.

Conversations highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence as a catalyst for sustainable growth, global innovation, the development of digital infrastructure, and enhanced industrial cooperation.

He remarked on the significant global transformation driven by advanced technologies, which is reshaping economies through innovation and creativity.

Accompanied by a delegation of officials from both public and private sectors, Sheikh Tahnoon is undertaking an official visit to the US to engage with senior US administration officials and global business leaders, exploring avenues to enhance the strategic, economic, and technological partnership between the UAE and the United States.
