President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlights the military's humanitarian contributions and the legacy of the founding leaders.
The United Arab Emirates commemorated the 49th anniversary of the unification of its armed forces, a significant event that symbolizes national pride and acknowledges the critical role of the military in ensuring national security.

In a speech delivered to the members of the armed forces, President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the importance of this milestone in the UAE's history, referring to the armed forces as a 'fortress for the security of the nation and all who reside on its land' over the past four decades.

President Al Nahyan expressed deep appreciation for the military's contributions, particularly in humanitarian missions.

He noted that the reputation of the armed forces, both domestically and internationally, stands as a symbol of generosity and fraternity, thanks to their commitment to aiding those affected by disasters and crises.

These efforts, he stated, reflect the noble principles instilled by the founding father of the UAE and his fellow leaders.

During his remarks, the President commemorated the sacrifices of military personnel, invoking the memory of those who have lost their lives in service to the country, and underscoring the ongoing legacy of unity and dedication that they have inspired.

He addressed the troops, acknowledging their roles as models of loyalty and sacrifice, and praised their commitment to excellence in duty and service.

The President's tribute also included recognition of the military as a foundational pillar of the UAE's identity and achievements, marking the unification of the armed forces as a key step in the broader journey of national development and unity.

He reiterated that the ongoing efforts and sacrifices made by the armed forces serve as a source of inspiration for future generations, highlighting the enduring values of love for the nation and dedication to its security and prosperity.
