UAE Issues Fog Alerts as Weather Forecast Predicts Rainfall
National Center of Meteorology warns of reduced visibility and temperature changes across several regions
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in the United Arab Emirates has issued red and yellow fog alerts impacting various regions, including parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafrah area.
The alerts indicate a deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may decline significantly in some internal and coastal areas until 9 AM today.
Regional specifics include fog warnings over Jabal Ali in Dubai, Ghantout and Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi, Sweihan in Al Ain, and the east of Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafrah region.
These conditions are expected to contribute to increased travel hazards and have been communicated to the public for awareness.
The forecasted temperature for today indicates a high of 27 to 31 degrees Celsius for coastal and island regions, while the temperature is set to fluctuate between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius at night.
Additionally, light to moderate winds are anticipated across the country, with wind speeds potentially reaching up to 30 km/h.
Looking ahead, the NCM forecasts that from Sunday, February 23, cloudy conditions will prevail.
Light rainfall is anticipated in parts of the northern, coastal, and eastern regions until Tuesday, February 25. Furthermore, a noticeable decrease in temperatures is expected on Monday and Tuesday, reflecting the changing weather patterns in the UAE area.
