UAE National Football Team Ranked 65th in Latest FIFA Rankings
The UAE men's national football team maintains its position amidst significant global competition.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) men's national football team has been ranked 65th in the latest FIFA world rankings, released yesterday.
The team secured 1382.7 points, placing them tenth in Asia, led by Japan.
The UAE ranks higher than several regional rivals, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Jordan, which are positioned 55th, 58th, 59th, and 62nd, respectively.
In the Arab world, the UAE stands ninth, following Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia, which are ranked 12th, 32nd, 36th, and 49th.
The complete ranking sees Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Jordan ahead of the UAE as well.
FIFA indicated that the period leading up to this ranking, from December 2024 until the most recent release, involved 245 international matches across various continents, including Africa, Asia, Oceania, and South America, as teams competed in World Cup qualifiers.
Additionally, teams from the North American, Central American, and Caribbean confederation (CONCACAF) and the European Football Association engaged in the UEFA Nations League and friendly matches.
This competitive landscape contributed to significant changes within the latest rankings, including notable movements among the top ten teams.
Argentina has retained its top position in the global ranking, bolstered by two away victories, defeating Uruguay 1-0 and Brazil 4-1 on home soil.
