UAE President Receives Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
A meeting to enhance bilateral relations and celebrate Eid al-Adha.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, in Abu Dhabi today.
The meeting took place at Al Bahar Palace, where both leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, expressing hopes for continued prosperity and blessings for both nations and their peoples.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman delivered greetings from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, alongside wishes for ongoing prosperity for the UAE.
In return, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed his best wishes to Qatar and its people.
The leaders discussed the historical ties between the UAE and Qatar, exploring various aspects of their cooperation and mutual efforts to strengthen these relationships for the benefit of both nations.
They also deliberated on several issues of mutual interest, exchanging perspectives on key topics.
Attendees at the meeting included Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region; as well as several other dignitaries, ministers, and senior officials.
Earlier in the day, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, where he was received by Sheikh Tahnoun and other officials.
