UAE President Receives Qatari Prime Minister in Abu Dhabi

Leaders discuss regional cooperation and exchange Eid greetings amidst shared commitments.
ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, in a meeting that took place on June 10, 2025, at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting commenced with the exchange of Eid Al Adha greetings, during which both leaders prayed for the continued wellbeing and prosperity of their nations.

Sheikh Mohammed conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, expressing best wishes for the UAE’s development.

In discussions, the leaders emphasized the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Qatar, examining various aspects of their ongoing cooperation aimed at mutual benefits.

They also addressed several regional and international issues of shared concern and exchanged views on recent developments impacting both countries.

Earlier that day, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, where he was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, along with other senior officials.

The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region; and other high-ranking officials from both governments.

In a related diplomatic statement issued the same day, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned a shooting incident in Graz, Austria, that resulted in casualties.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the victims' families and the government and people of Austria, reiterating the UAE’s stance against all forms of violence targeting innocent civilians.
