United Arab Emirates Delivers Aid to Gaza Amid Ceasefire
100 UAE Trucks Carrying 1442 Tons of Humanitarian Supplies Enter Gaza During Ceasefire
Over the past week, five convoys of humanitarian aid from the United Arab Emirates have crossed into the Gaza Strip via Egypt's Rafah crossing.
This effort is part of Operation 'Gallant Knight 3', a humanitarian initiative aimed at providing support and relief to Palestinians during challenging times.
The convoys comprise 100 trucks carrying more than 1442 tons of humanitarian supplies, including food items, relief packages, shelter tents, and other essential goods.
The aid is being managed by the UAE humanitarian team stationed in the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, who oversee the precise loading of supplies and ensure their delivery through the Rafah border, reaching those in need within Gaza.
According to Sultan Al Kaabi, the UAE representative for humanitarian aid in Operation 'Gallant Knight 3', the on-ground teams are tasked with overseeing the entrance of these materials into the Strip to ensure they reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries.
The UAE has increased its humanitarian efforts since the ceasefire, intensifying aid deliveries to support the Palestinian population amidst Gaza's humanitarian challenges.
Since the onset of the truce, the aid operation has sent 160 convoys into the region, delivering approximately 31,026 tons of humanitarian relief, significantly easing the humanitarian situation and addressing the needs of the most affected populations.
The UAE reiterates its unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating the impact of the current circumstances, standing in solidarity with those in the Gaza Strip.
