United Arab Emirates Floating Hospital Celebrates Eid al-Adha in el-Arish

The United Arab Emirates Floating Hospital in el-Arish, Egypt, held a social celebration to mark Eid al-Adha as part of its humanitarian mission 'Gallant Knight 3'.
This initiative aimed to uplift the spirits of patients and their companions aboard the hospital, creating a positive and humane atmosphere during the festive season.
The celebration included the distribution of Eid gifts to patients and their caregivers, along with a variety of recreational activities featuring artistic performances and interactive games.
A face painting booth was set up, bringing joy to both children and adults alike.
This activity forms part of the hospital's commitment to providing a supportive and comprehensive therapeutic environment, addressing both the psychological and social needs of patients, particularly during religious and national events.
Dr. Imran Al-Afari, the Director of the UAE Floating Hospital, stated that the event reflects the hospital's humanitarian mission and its continuous efforts to enhance the morale of patients and their relatives while spreading joy during the festive season.
He emphasized that medical, administrative staff, and volunteers participated in organizing the event with a spirit of generosity and collaboration.
Attendees engaged enthusiastically with the activities, reflecting a scene of gratitude and joy, which embodies the values of tolerance and compassion that characterize the UAE’s humanitarian initiatives worldwide.
The UAE Floating Hospital, inaugurated on February 23, 2024, in el-Arish, stands out as one of the significant humanitarian initiatives by the UAE in the region.
It aims to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to victims from the Gaza Strip and is equipped with 100 patient beds, 100 companion beds, operating rooms with the latest technology, intensive care units, and imaging and laboratory sections.
Since its inception, the hospital has offered over 9,500 healthcare services, including more than 3,600 surgical operations across various specialties and over 4,000 physical therapy sessions, as well as the fitting of 23 prosthetic limbs for Palestinian individuals from Gaza.
Medical services are provided by a specialized Emirati medical team, supported by an Indonesian medical team, under a collaborative humanitarian effort aimed at ensuring the best possible healthcare for the sick and injured.
