Zayed Humanitarian Foundation Celebrates Eid al-Adha in Indonesia

40,000 beneficiaries from the Eid al-Adha project in Solo, Indonesia.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in Solo, Indonesia, has launched the "Joy of Eid al-Adha Project," funded by the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation.

This initiative includes the preparation and distribution of sacrificial animals and Eid clothing to eligible members of the local community in Solo.

Approximately 40,000 individuals benefited from the distribution of around 16 tons of meat, facilitated by significant community and volunteer involvement from local residents.

More than 100 volunteers and 40 butchers from the city participated in the slaughtering of the animals at the municipal slaughterhouse, processing and distributing the meat in collaboration with charitable organizations and community action groups.

This effort underscores the noble humanitarian objectives and social solidarity, enhancing joy among targeted beneficiaries.

For the Eid clothing initiative, a two-day shopping bazaar was organized, offering a diverse range of apparel for various groups in need, coordinated with local shops and ateliers.

Thousands of children, families, and orphans were invited to select garments according to their preferences using shopping vouchers provided to each beneficiary.

This initiative demonstrates the organizers' commitment to spreading happiness among recipients and continues efforts to support underprivileged families and promote social cohesion.

Additionally, an Eid al-Adha festival for the local community in Solo featured various performance groups, organized competitions, and dedicated children's games.

It is anticipated that over 40,000 visitors will attend the festival during Eid, along with the distribution of thousands of traditional Indonesian sweet treats, which were provided in partnership with local producing families.

Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, General Director of the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation, emphasized that the Joy of Eid al-Adha Project aims to alleviate burdens on some families in Indonesia and bring joy to their hearts during this significant occasion.
