Donald Trump has announced that he will try to help Afghan refugees stranded in the United Arab Emirates, many of whom supported U.S. forces during the war in Afghanistan.

Facing potential deportation and uncertain futures, hundreds of Afghans remain in temporary facilities as diplomatic efforts stall.

Trump called their situation unjust and said he would intervene on their behalf if re-elected.
