Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality Responds to 280 Emergency Reports of Snakes, Scorpions, and Stray Animals
Municipality manages numerous public health concerns amidst extensive service provision
Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality has addressed 280 emergency reports related to snakes, scorpions, stray animals, and rodents during the first four months of the current year.
The municipality's inspection and control department responded promptly to these incidents to ensure public health and safety for residents at all times.
During the same period, the municipality provided a total of 6,052 diverse services to residents, encompassing municipal, engineering, health, agricultural, and environmental services.
This initiative aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at enhancing fieldwork and meeting the needs of the community.
Talib Abdullah Al-Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, emphasized that the municipality's departments are intensifying their efforts to deliver comprehensive services that cater to the needs of citizens, residents, and visitors to ensure their comfort and well-being.
He noted the commitment of the municipality to realizing Sharjah Government’s vision of building a developed and sustainable community.
Furthermore, Maryam Rashid, Director of the Customer Happiness and Employee Division, reported that her division had executed 816 services during the same timeframe, which included 209 residential contracts, 139 commercial contracts, two staff housing contracts, 368 requests via the Sharjah Call Center, 24 advertising permit requests, and 74 clearance certificates.
Khadija Najib from the Agriculture Department indicated that 241 services were rendered, including tree pruning and removal, supply of seedlings and agricultural sand, pesticide spraying, and providing agricultural labor upon request.
Raja Mohammed Al-Naqbi, Director of the Engineering Services Department, highlighted that her department accomplished 198 services, notably including 11 requests for the approval of sewage plans and 17 transactions related to the compliance of plans or final acceptance, in addition to issuing no-objection certificates and groundwater extraction permits.
In tandem, Ayman Fadel from the Inspection and Control Department reported that 4,001 services were carried out, comprising 2,270 requests for sewage extraction, 1,178 requests related to cleanliness and pest control, 273 fog spraying services, and 280 services to combat emergencies such as scorpions, snakes, and rodents.
Moreover, the Public Health Department executed 780 services, which involved supervising slaughter operations with 716 services, 14 permits for food distribution, four permits for farm products, and 15 permits for water sales, alongside issuing certificates of approval, taking samples from swimming pools and henna, and approving the issuance of 16 new commercial licenses.
