UAE Calls for Moon Sighting to Mark Start of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH

The Emirates Fatwa Council has officially urged citizens and residents to observe the sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1446 AH. This call will take place following the sunset on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, which corresponds to the 29th of Dhu al-Qi'dah.
The Council's Crescent Sighting Committee, responsible for the moon sighting in the UAE, has requested that any individuals who sight the new moon contact them at 027774647, or submit their reports via a designated online form.
This initiative emphasizes the importance of community involvement in religious practices.
The council expressed hopes that the crescent moon will bring safety, faith, and blessings to the nation, while also extending prayers for the continued success and guidance of the UAE's leadership.
