Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Wins Four Prestigious UK Business Awards

Recognition includes Climate Action and Sustainability Initiative Awards as part of the UK’s Best Business Awards 2025.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has been honored with four accolades at the Best Business Awards 2025, regarded as one of the most prestigious awards in the United Kingdom.

DEWA received the Climate Action Award for its comprehensive program aimed at reducing carbon emissions, underscoring its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Additionally, DEWA was awarded for Best Sustainable Process/Product for its 'Sustainable Approach' initiative, which enables residential customers in Dubai to monitor and manage their resource consumption.

This initiative, initiated in 2018, leverages artificial intelligence and behavioral science technologies, allowing users to compare their electricity and water usage with those of similarly efficient households in their region, fostering a sustainable lifestyle.

The authority's digital marketing campaign surrounding its listing on the Dubai Financial Market earned the title of Best Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year.

The campaign utilized innovative strategies under the slogan "Shaping a Green Future," aimed at raising awareness of the authority's robust corporate identity and its dedication to sustainability and achieving carbon neutrality.

Furthermore, DEWA received the Best Team Initiative award for its efforts in enhancing the electric distribution network.

The team, composed of leading experts, implemented 22 innovative projects over the past three years, significantly improving the availability and reliability of the power network while also achieving substantial savings for the authority.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, expressed that the receipt of four awards at the Best Business Awards 2025 is a testament to the authority's unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence across all its initiatives.

He highlighted the incorporation of cutting-edge technologies from the Fourth Industrial Revolution to elevate DEWA's projects, initiatives, and services to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and reliability, ultimately benefitting all stakeholders.

The awards’ jury commended DEWA for its exceptional innovations in various areas, including sustainability, digital transformation, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.

The jury recognized that DEWA continues to set new standards in leading the transition towards clean energy in Dubai, thereby providing reliable and sustainable services.

The chair of the jury extended congratulations to DEWA for its remarkable achievements and steadfast commitment to fostering a brighter and more sustainable future.
