UAE Leads Employment Growth in Europe, Middle East, and Latin America
LinkedIn report highlights significant job expansion across key sectors in the UAE.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has emerged as a leader in employment growth within Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, demonstrating substantial expansion in multiple key sectors.
According to the latest Economic Map report from LinkedIn, the country has experienced an uptick in hiring activity across seven industries.
The construction sector recorded the highest year-on-year growth at 24.1%, followed by utilities at 14.8%, and real estate and equipment rental services at 13.9%.
The UAE registered the most significant annual increase in labor market tightness within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Latin America regions.
By January 2025, the labor market tightness rate rose by 36%, indicating the highest ratio of job vacancies to the number of active job applicants.
Additionally, the UAE saw the largest increase in hybrid job postings in the EMEA and Latin America regions, which surged by 114.3% year-on-year.
Many companies have enhanced their hybrid job offerings through the platform, although this growth contrasts with a 13% decline in applications for hybrid roles during the same period.
Meanwhile, remote work continues to be less favored among job seekers in the UAE.
