Dubai Government Announces Key Appointments Under Sheikh Hamdan
New leadership roles are established following the approval of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, announced a series of new appointments within the Government of Dubai, following the endorsement of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Dr. Alawi Sheikh Ali has been appointed as the Director General of the Dubai Health Authority.
Sheikh Hamdan extended his best wishes for success in fulfilling the responsibilities and duties associated with this role, emphasizing its importance in furthering Dubai's vision and objectives for the healthcare sector.
In his announcement, Sheikh Hamdan expressed gratitude to Awad Saghir Al Ketbi for his contributions and dedicated efforts during his tenure in advancing the services of the Dubai Health Authority and the overall healthcare system in Dubai, wishing him continued success in future endeavors.
Additionally, Sheikh Hamdan confirmed the appointment of Eng.
Marwan bin Ghalita as the Director General of Dubai Municipality, underscoring the municipality's crucial role in achieving the sustainable development goals and enhancing the quality of life in Dubai, thereby reinforcing the emirate's status as a premier destination for living, working, and visiting.
The Crown Prince of Dubai also announced the appointment of Omar Bushahab as the Director General of the Dubai Land Department and the Chairman of the Board of Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
He further appointed Mohammed Al Shuhhi as the Acting Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
Moreover, Lieutenant General Harb Mohammed Al Shamsi has been appointed as the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Affairs, while Lieutenant General Ahmed Zaal Al Mehri is now the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Administrative Affairs.
