Official data reveals an 8.7% increase in marriage contracts compared to 2023, alongside detailed statistics on divorce rates.
Data from the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, released by Dubai Courts, indicates that a total of 6,864 marriage contracts were recorded in the emirate in 2024, reflecting an increase of 8.7% from the previous year.
In contrast, the total number of divorce cases amounted to 1,554 in 2023.
The statistics indicate that February was the month with the highest number of marriage registrations, totaling 744 contracts.
January followed with 578 contracts, while March saw 491.
The monthly breakdown for marriage contracts continued as follows: April registered 495, May 615, June 545, July 526, August 465, September 497, October 567, November recorded 637 contracts, and December concluded with 703 marriages.
Regarding divorce cases, January recorded 192 divorces, February saw 174, and March had 166.
In April, 94 divorces were documented.
The following months showed the following figures: May recorded 194, June 138, July 96, August 81, September 92, October 129, November 108, and December reported 90 divorce cases.
