Dubai's Al Khail Metro Station Renamed to Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station

The Roads and Transport Authority announces the new naming rights agreement with a leading financial services provider.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has officially renamed Al Khail Metro Station to Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station.

This decision was made public on March 18, 2025, following the signing of an agreement that grants Al Fardan Exchange the naming rights for the station.

Al Khail Metro Station is situated on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro, strategically located between interchanges 4 and 5 along Sheikh Zayed Road.

Under the terms of the newly signed agreement, Al Fardan Exchange will not only receive the naming rights but also gain exclusive brand representation at the station, accompanied by a range of advanced technologies and smart solutions as outlined by the RTA.

Abdul Muhsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at RTA, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting it as a significant step towards developing a long-term economic partnership between RTA and Al Fardan Exchange.

Kalbat underscored the initiative as a key aspect of public-private partnerships, with the RTA representing the public sector and Al Fardan Exchange representing the private sector.

He stated, "Our visionary government strongly advocates such collaborations to drive national economic growth and promote diversification, which also paves the way for the private sector to align with the government’s vision in this regard." Kalbat also noted the success of the naming rights initiative since its inception, emphasizing RTA's commitment to building strong partnerships with private sector entities.

Hasan Fardan Al Fardan, CEO of Al Fardan Exchange, remarked on the partnership's significance, saying, "We are proud to partner with RTA to secure the naming rights for a key station in Dubai’s Metro system.

As a company with deep roots in Emirati heritage and a forward-looking vision for the future, we see this partnership as a perfect reflection of our values.

Public transportation is the lifeline of any modern city, and Dubai’s metro system is a testament to the emirate’s innovative approach to urban mobility."
