Dubai's Government Satisfaction Index Reveals High Ratings for 2024

Dubai's 2024 satisfaction indices showcase high ratings for customer and employee happiness in governmental services.
Dubai has announced the results of its 2024 Governmental Satisfaction Indices, highlighting the city's ongoing efforts towards enhancing the happiness and satisfaction of both its citizens and employees.

Spearheaded by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, these indices form a critical part of the Dubai Government Excellence Program, under the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai.

The indices include the Customer Happiness Index, the Employee Happiness Index, and a daily Secret Shopper Index, all of which are instrumental in assessing and improving government service performance.

For 2024, the Customer Happiness Index registered a notable average of 93.8%, with all participating entities scoring over 90%.

The Employee Happiness Index averaged 86.7%, while the daily Secret Shopper Index achieved an exceptionally high average of 95.8%.

Amongst government entities, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment reported the highest satisfaction scores with 98.75% for customer happiness and 96.7% for employee happiness.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities also excelled in customer satisfaction, while the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs led in employee satisfaction.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized Dubai's commitment to making happiness a fundamental goal in its service delivery processes.

This approach is supported by a robust feedback system that uses digital platforms for data analysis, offering each government department real-time insights into their performance against the average scores and their own past performance.

This strategy aims to provide a comprehensive view to improve service efficiency and maintain high satisfaction levels.

Coinciding with the announcement is the celebration of 20 years since the inception of these satisfaction studies.

The indices have been pivotal in enhancing Dubai's status as a leader in government excellence and innovation, as remarked by Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai.

These studies leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance service provision.

The Dubai Government's dedication to fostering a proactive and responsive work environment is evident through these indices.

By implementing state-of-the-art data analytics and adopting best practices from around the world, Dubai continues to position itself as a leading example in governmental service excellence.

The city remains focused on refining these indices further, as noted by Dr. Hazza Al Nuaimi, Coordinator of the Dubai Government Excellence Program, who mentioned ongoing developments to align these indices with organizational performance.

This alignment aims to sustain high levels of satisfaction and enhance Dubai's global reputation in public service delivery.
