Dubai World Cup Broadcasting to Reach 170 Countries

The 29th edition of the prestigious horse racing event scheduled for April 5 will be aired globally, showcasing its international appeal.
The Dubai Racing Club has announced that the 29th edition of the Dubai World Cup will be broadcast to 170 countries, setting a new record that underscores the event's global prominence.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, at the Meydan Racecourse, the Dubai World Cup boasts a prize fund of $30.5 million, making it one of the richest horse races in the world.

The event will attract elite horses and riders from approximately 13 countries, competing in nine thrilling races, with the highlight being the $12 million main race, sponsored by Emirates Airline.

Viewership for this year's edition is expected to reach unprecedented levels, facilitated by 37 international sports channels covering various regions including North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Sport 24 will also broadcast the race for those traveling by air and sea, including the flagship Emirates airline.

This extensive media outreach represents a significant advancement in enhancing the international presence of the event, solidifying its status as one of the leading and richest horse races globally in terms of prize money and organizational excellence.

Taking place annually at Meydan, the championship attracts top-tier horses, skilled riders, and renowned trainers, making it a pivotal event on the global horse racing calendar.

The broad broadcasting scope highlights the international interest in the event and confirms Dubai's success in marrying traditional equestrian culture with high standards of professionalism in sports organization and promotion.

Ali Al Ali, a board member and CEO of the Dubai Racing Club, expressed his satisfaction with the substantial global media interest in the event.

He noted that the unprecedented attention garnered by the Dubai World Cup reinforces its status as one of the most prominent horse races worldwide, commending the efforts of RMG and HBA in achieving this global reach.
