UAE Leaders Extend Condolences to Umm Al Qaiwain Ruler on Passing of Mother

Sheikha Hessa bint Hamid bin Abdulrahman Al Shamsi remembered as a matriarch of the Al Mualla family.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, paid his respects to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, following the passing of his mother, the late Sheikha Hessa bint Hamid bin Abdulrahman Al Shamsi.

The condolences were expressed during Sheikh Mohammed's visit to the condolence majlis at the Ruler’s Court in Umm Al Qaiwain, accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Sheikh Saud and Crown Prince Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, extending prayers for mercy and eternal peace for the deceased, while offering support and patience to the Al Mualla family.

Parallelly, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also paid his respects to Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla at the Amiri Court in Umm Al Qaiwain.

Accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his sympathies and condolences to the broader Al Mualla family.

He prayed for the late Sheikha Hessa to find eternal rest and for comfort to be granted to her family during this difficult period.

Sheikha Hessa bint Hamid bin Abdulrahman Al Shamsi passed away on April 1, 2025. Her legacy as a matriarch within the Al Mualla family is remembered by the community and leadership alike.
