Guardiola Acknowledges Manchester City's Lack of Merit for Rewards
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits both he and his players do not deserve rewards despite recently winning the FIFA Club World Cup.
Pep Guardiola, the Spanish manager of Manchester City, has stated that neither he nor his players deserve any rewards this season, despite the team recently securing the FIFA Club World Cup title.
Guardiola remarked, 'We do not deserve any rewards this season; neither the coach, the players, nor the technical staff merit even a watch.' Currently, Manchester City sits in fifth place in the English Premier League and has been eliminated early from the UEFA Champions League and the domestic League Cup.
The team, which has dominated English football by winning the title for the last four consecutive seasons, faces the unprecedented risk of finishing the season without any silverware for the first time since Guardiola took over managerial duties in the 2016-2017 season.
