Israeli Incursion in Jenin Leads to Displacement and Infrastructure Damage

Ongoing Israeli military operations in Jenin displace 3,000 Palestinian families, causing significant disruptions in services and fatalities.
The Israeli military's offensive in Jenin has entered its fifth consecutive day, resulting in the displacement of approximately 3,000 Palestinian families.

Essential services such as water and electricity have been disrupted across the city, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Palestine.

The Israeli forces have extended their operations, launching assaults in the Jenin refugee camp while conducting arrests in other regions.

The UN office has called for thorough and independent investigations into fatalities during law enforcement activities, emphasizing accountability for unlawful killings.

The Israeli military continues its presence in Jenin, where operations have resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians and numerous injuries.

The military campaign has led to the destruction of several Palestinian homes and extensive damage to the local infrastructure.

Israeli military reports confirmed injuries among their ranks, with three soldiers wounded amid the operations.

One of these soldiers, who belongs to the elite Egoz Unit, sustained serious injuries in Jenin, as reported by the Palestinian news agency, Ma'an.

Special operations units of the Israeli military have surrounded a house in the village of Muthalth al-Shuhada, located south of Jenin.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces demanded evacuation through loudspeakers, bolstered by military reinforcements arriving from the Dotan checkpoint in Yabad.

Snipers have been stationed both in the village and around the besieged house, amidst continued confrontations.

Additionally, in Hebron Governorate, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian woman from the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron.

Local sources identified the detainee as 26-year-old Mayada Maher Mahmoud Al-Masalmeh.

The arrest took place following a raid on her family home, allegedly linked to celebrations concerning a recently released prisoner under the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
