Over 1,000 Health Experts Commence Dialogues at L’Oréal Derma 2025 in Abu Dhabi
A landmark dermatological event highlighting advancements in skin health and the launch of the Medfluencer Academy.
More than 1,000 dermatologists and healthcare professionals convened in Abu Dhabi for the sixth edition of the L’Oréal Derma Event, marking the largest attendance in its history.
The forum, which featured a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation, was endorsed by key medical associations including the Emirates Dermatology Society and the Saudi Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, among others.
It served as a platform for high-level discussions on innovation in dermatology, uniting prominent UAE healthcare entities such as the Dubai Health Authority and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company.
Sanaa Bougazzoul, general manager of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Middle East, emphasized the event's commitment to fostering scientific dialogue and advancing skin health, noting the launch of the Medfluencer Academy.
This initiative aims to enhance digital engagement among healthcare professionals, bridging the gap between scientific research and public education.
The 2025 event also celebrated the 50th anniversary of La Roche-Posay, marking decades of dermatological research and collaboration.
As part of its environmental initiatives, the event received certification as a Green Event, aligning with broader trends in sustainability within the healthcare sector.
All attending healthcare professionals were eligible to earn 24 Continuing Medical Education (CME) points, reflecting the event’s significant role in promoting medical education.
Keynote sessions highlighted pressing topics, such as optimal therapies for skin conditions and the integration of dermo-cosmetics in clinical practice.
Additionally, the Medfluencer Academy successfully brought together over 200 healthcare professionals in a format that included expert panels and workshops.
The focus of the academy was on empowering doctors to effectively utilize social media for knowledge sharing, with sessions aimed at improving digital skills in video production and audience engagement.
Collaboration with platforms such as Meta and TikTok facilitated targeted learning experiences for the participating doctors.
Dr. Khaled Nuaimi, president of the Medical Excellence in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine, stated the importance of evolving knowledge-sharing practices in dermatological science, while Dr. Aiman Al Naeem, president of the Emirates Dermatology Society, affirmed support for the platform's integration of clinical and digital areas.
The event underscored L’Oréal’s dual commitment to scientific innovation and digital transformation, cementing its leadership role in dermatological beauty and healthcare communication in a digitally evolving landscape.
