Six Steps to Obtain a Private Tutor Work Permit in the UAE
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation outlines the process for acquiring a permit to offer private tutoring services.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the United Arab Emirates has announced that the 'Private Tutor Work Permit' allows qualified individuals to provide educational lessons outside of formal educational institutions, offering a direct source of income.
The permit is issued free of charge and is valid for two years, enabling holders to engage in private tutoring after signing a behavior document according to the approved model.
The ministry highlighted five categories of individuals eligible for the Private Tutor Work Permit.
These include teachers registered with public or private schools, employees working in the public and private sectors, unemployed individuals, students aged between 15 and 18, and university students.
To obtain the Private Tutor Work Permit, applicants must follow a six-step process: first, visit the ministry's official website; second, select the Private Tutor Work Permit from the list of services; third, enter the UAE identity number; fourth, input the one-time verification code; fifth, attach the required documents according to the applicable category; and finally, submit the application.
