UAE Air Sports Team to Compete in World Games in China
The UAE Air Sports Federation announces participation in the upcoming World Games in Chengdu, China, with a focus on enhancing international presence.
The UAE Air Sports Federation has confirmed the participation of the UAE air sports team in the upcoming World Games scheduled to take place in Chengdu, China, in August.
These games will feature sports that are not included in the Olympic program.
Nasser Al Neyadi, President of the UAE Air Sports Federation, stated that this anticipated participation is a continuation of the achievements the team has made during its first international appearance at the Third Gulf Beach Games, held in Oman from April 5 to April 11. At this event, the team won three medals, marking a significant start for the team on the international stage.
Al Neyadi elaborated that the federation is preparing a robust training program for the athletes, which will include both domestic and international phases aimed at enhancing technical and physical readiness.
This preparation is particularly crucial given the upcoming challenges on the Asian sports scene, where a higher level of competition is expected.
The same team that participated in the Gulf Games will be competing in the upcoming events, consisting of athletes Rashid Ibrahim Al Smahi, Mohammed Jaber Al Mazmi, Tariq Mohammed Al Abidli, Abdullah Nasser Mustafa, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Jasmi.
