UAE Government Launches New Phase of Global Collaboration in Government Modernization
The UAE partners with Colombia, Seychelles, and the Maldives to enhance knowledge exchange in public administration.
The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has initiated a new phase of government modernization by expanding its partnerships with several countries as part of its Government Knowledge Exchange Program.
This expansion includes collaborations with Colombia, Seychelles, and the Maldives, formally extending these partnerships during the 2025 World Government Summit.
The agreements were signed by Abdallah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange from the UAE, and representatives from the partner governments: Devika Vidot, Minister of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry of Seychelles; Abdullah Fayyad, Chief of Staff to the President of the Maldives; and Laura Camila Sarabia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia.
The UAE's Government Knowledge Exchange Program is designed as a global platform for partnerships aimed at creating a better future by enhancing international cooperation and expanding collaborative areas.
The initiative focuses on the development of states and communities, equipping them with innovative tools and solutions.
Abdallah Lootah emphasized the UAE's leadership's commitment to broadening the scope of knowledge exchange, sharing its leading experiences with various governments worldwide.
He highlighted the importance of preparing nations for the future, leveraging the UAE’s exceptional experiences in governmental development intended to improve community life.
The strategic partnership between the UAE and Colombia is centered on the exchange of experiences and knowledge across various areas, notably government services, the activation of national agendas, capacity building, artificial intelligence, and the sharing of best practices and educational programs.
The partnership with the Seychelles aims to enhance cooperation and experience exchange in government modernization, addressing key areas such as government services, government accelerators, programming, statistics and competitiveness, smart services, government performance, innovation, excellence, leadership capacity building, strategy, and strategic management.
Additionally, the strategic collaboration between the UAE and the Maldives focuses on sharing experiences and best practices in digital government capacity building, digital economy, artificial intelligence, innovation, education, programming, business incubators, tourism, and culture.
