UAE President Sheikh Mohamed and Somali President Discuss Development and Stability
Leaders emphasize strengthened cooperation in various sectors during a meeting in Abu Dhabi.
On March 11, 2025, President Sheikh Mohamed of the United Arab Emirates met with Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the President of Somalia, in Abu Dhabi as part of a working visit.
The meeting was held at Qasr Al Bateen and included attendance by prominent figures such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister.
The discussions centered on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, with a focus on fostering development and ensuring stability in Somalia.
President Mohamud expressed appreciation for the UAE's ongoing support for Somalia’s developmental initiatives.
This meeting underscores the UAE's role in facilitating regional partnerships aimed at promoting sustainable progress in Somalia.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohamed also engaged with teachers, administrators, and distinguished students from various schools to commemorate Ramadan.
He extended congratulations and prayers for their continued well-being and prosperity, acknowledging their dedication to the educational sector.
