Abu Dhabi Approves Residential Benefits Package Worth AED 6.75 Billion
4,356 citizens to benefit from new housing initiatives approved by the Emirate's leadership.
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, has approved a residential benefits package totaling AED 6.75 billion for citizens in Abu Dhabi.
This initiative will benefit 4,356 citizens across the emirate.
The comprehensive package comprises housing loans amounting to AED 5.08 billion, which will assist 3,172 citizens, as well as land grants and ready-made homes valued at AED 1.585 billion, benefitting 1,100 citizens.
Additionally, elderly citizens with limited income, retirees, and heirs of deceased individuals will be exempt from repaying housing loan dues, amounting to more than AED 94.8 million, which will support 84 citizens in the emirate.
With this latest allocation, the total number of residential benefits provided to citizens in Abu Dhabi since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has exceeded 123,000, with a cumulative value of approximately AED 168.85 billion.
This package marks the first distribution of residential benefits for the year 2025, coinciding with the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations, reflecting the leadership's commitment to continue comprehensive development.
The initiative is aimed at enhancing the welfare of Emirati families and ensuring their social and familial stability within a supportive environment that meets their aspirations and needs and encourages their contribution to national development.
Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Authority, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their ongoing commitment to citizen welfare and their persistent efforts to ensure a dignified living for the populace.
Al Shorafa stated that the leadership's directives to allocate this package illustrate their ongoing dedication to fulfilling citizens' aspirations and addressing housing needs, thereby enhancing their quality of life and providing stability and welfare for them and their families.
He highlighted that such packages contribute to fostering family and social cohesion and reinforcing stability within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Hamad Hareb Al Mehairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, noted that the new housing package embodies the leadership's commitment to providing citizens with a dignified standard of living and promoting family stability, reiterating that the well-being of Emirati families remains a paramount priority.
He emphasized that this initiative aligns with comprehensive development goals, in conjunction with the 'Year of Community,' which aims to strengthen community values and emphasizes the role of suitable housing in building a stable society.
