This event, running until August 21, is hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) Centre and is a collaborative effort with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Operating daily from 6 am to 1 am, the current edition marks the fourth installment of the event and showcases significant expansions and innovations.
The venue has seen a 10 percent increase in total area, now covering 37,500 square meters, which includes an upgraded running track that has been doubled to four lanes and extended to 1.2 kilometers in length.
Participants can choose from a range of 12 core sports and activities including football, basketball, padel, running, badminton, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, cricket, chess, an expansive fitness area, and an obstacle course.
The number of courts and tracks has been enhanced to 52, all constructed to meet high international standards.
In a notable addition this year, the event will feature the HYROX indoor fitness race on July 19, catering to gym enthusiasts and fitness aficionados seeking a rigorous challenge of strength and endurance.
Further diversifying offerings, the newly introduced Club Zone will highlight combat and strength sports, including weightlifting, archery, judo, Muay Thai, and boxing.
An engaging summer camp alongside over 50 community events designed for all age groups will take place over the duration of the event, blending sports with arts and crafts activities for children.
Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, emphasized the event's significance as an opportunity for local community members of all ages to partake in sports in a safe and comfortable setting.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, noted that the initiative aligns with the strategy to promote health and wellness as part of the Year of the Community campaign.
In addition to sports, attendees can partake in wellness activities such as yoga, meditation, and specialized training sessions, providing options for corporate team-building.
The venue will also include family areas with entertainment and children’s games.
To facilitate easy access to the event, ADNEC Group has developed a dedicated mobile app and web platform that enables users to explore programming and reserve activities seamlessly.
The venue also offers free parking for participants, underlining the commitment to an accessible and community-focused sporting environment.
