Al Jalila Foundation, a charitable arm of Dubai Health, has announced a donation of AED 50 million from the Al-Othman Endowment of the late Issa Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Othman from Kuwait.
This funding will contribute to the construction and development of the Hamdan bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, which is poised to be Dubai's first fully integrated cancer hospital.
The donation agreement was signed by Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, Executive Director of Al Jalila Foundation, along with the endowment’s directors, Youssef, Nabil, and Abdullah Issa Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Othman, at the foundation's headquarters in Dubai.
During their visit, the directors were presented with a detailed overview of the project and its goals, alongside a comprehensive explanation of the endowment itself.

The substantial support for the Hamdan bin Rashid Cancer Hospital is seen as a vital step towards providing comprehensive and high-quality healthcare for cancer patients.
This initiative embodies the spirit of giving and indicates a strong understanding of the foundation's efforts to improve patients' lives and offer hope to them and their families.
In recognition of this donation, the hospital’s intensive care unit will be named "Intensive Care Unit - Supported by the Issa Abdullah Al-Othman Endowment and the Taiba Abdulwahab Al-Othman Endowment - Kuwait."
Faisal Issa Abdullah Al-Othman, representing the endowment, underscored the significance of partnering with Al Jalila Foundation in this noble humanitarian project, named after the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The project aims to provide comprehensive care for cancer patients.
He stated, "We believe that collaboration is the optimal path for achieving sustainable development, and our contribution to this essential project is a building block in a grand structure that expresses our gratitude and recognition towards the UAE, its leadership, and its people."

They dedicated their lives to community service and spread goodwill wherever they went.
Today, they are committed to following in their footsteps by supporting the healthcare sector and contributing to projects that make a positive difference in people's lives.
He hoped that this endowment would serve as a continuous charity that benefits cancer patients and alleviates their pain.
