Dubai International Airport Prepares for Surge of 2.5 Million Passengers
Dubai Airports announces expected influx from February 20 to 28, coinciding with global events and school holidays.
Dubai Airports has announced that Dubai International Airport is set to welcome over 2.5 million passengers during the period from February 20 to February 28, 2023. This equates to an average of approximately 280,000 travelers per day, with Saturday, February 22, expected to see the highest traffic, exceeding 295,000 passengers.
The anticipated increase in passenger volume is attributed to a combination of global events and school holidays in key markets, positioning this period as one of the busiest times for Dubai International Airport.
To facilitate a smooth travel experience, Dubai Airports has recommended that travelers utilize the Dubai Metro for access to the airport and for transfers between Terminals 1 and 3. It has been noted that the bus station servicing arrivals at Terminal 1 will be out of service starting February 21. Passengers are encouraged to consult alternative transport options and updated schedules through the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority's website.
