Arab Parliament Condemns Israeli Minister's Incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque
The Arab Parliament expresses strong disapproval of Israeli actions at the holy site and military operations in Gaza.
Mohamed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, the President of the Arab Parliament, has condemned the incursion of Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir into Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing that any attempts to alter the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian holy places in Jerusalem are unacceptable, invalid, and represent a blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The statement asserts that such actions contribute to escalating tensions and instability in the region.
In a statement released today, Al-Yamahi also denounced the Israeli military's bombardment of an agency clinic run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of displaced persons, primarily women and children.
He criticized the expansion of military operations throughout the Gaza Strip and what he termed as systematic starvation of civilians, describing these actions as catastrophic and crimes against humanity.
He stated that they are a stark violation of international agreements that safeguard human rights and the right of peoples to live in dignity.
