Diverse Traveler Numbers Surge in Dubai During Eid Al-Adha Holiday
Dubai's total traveler volume reaches 629,559 as the city maintains its status as a global transit and residency hub.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai announced that a total of 629,559 travelers arrived and departed through all of the emirate's entry points during the Eid Al-Adha holiday from June 5 to June 8, 2025. This figure underscores Dubai's vibrant role as a global center for transit and residence.
Dubai International Airport accounted for the majority of this movement, with 581,527 travelers recorded.
The Hatta land border crossing saw about 46,863 travelers, while the marine entry points facilitated the passage of 1,169 individuals during the same period.
Brigadier General Talal Al Shanaqi, Assistant Director General for Air Ports Sector, confirmed that the recorded figures during the holiday reflect Dubai's ongoing establishment as a preferred destination for travelers from around the world.
He attributed this success to the integrated field efforts at entry points and the activation of smart systems.
“We focused on ensuring a seamless travel experience through smart corridors and artificial intelligence technologies, which contributed to accelerating processes and improving the flow of movement,” he stated, emphasizing that the travel experience aligns with Dubai's commitment to enhancing quality of life and providing flexible services that meet individual expectations while bolstering institutional readiness.
These results demonstrate the capability of Dubai's residency authority, in collaboration with strategic partners in the aviation and border control sectors, to efficiently manage exceptional travel seasons within a flexible operational environment that adapts to continuous innovation and development.
This institutional readiness embodies Dubai's approach to enhancing its competitiveness on quality of life and international mobility indicators, through providing a fast, smart, and secure travel experience that prioritizes human needs.
