Dubai Ambulance Service Achieves International Quality Accreditation

The Dubai Ambulance Service is recognized for its commitment to high standards in pre-hospital medical care.
The Dubai Ambulance Service has successfully obtained accreditation from the International Joint Commission, affirming its commitment to delivering top-quality healthcare in the realm of pre-hospital medical care.

This accreditation is granted based on adherence to global safety and quality standards related to emergency medical services and transport.

Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, the Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Service, expressed pride in this achievement, highlighting that it aligns with the leadership's vision to foresee and shape the future of healthcare in the region.

He emphasized the goal of establishing a healthcare system based on the highest international standards.

Julfar stated that this accomplishment reflects Dubai's dedication to providing exemplary healthcare services to its residents and visitors, reinforcing its status as an ideal destination for healthcare both regionally and globally.

In the face of global changes in the healthcare sector, the service is committed to adopting proactive strategies and continuously improving health sector performance indicators.

Dr. Shamsa Hamad, Director of Medical Affairs, expressed her satisfaction with the institution's achievement, noting the significance of obtaining accreditation from the International Joint Commission, which is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous health evaluation bodies globally.

She indicated that this accreditation aims to enhance the efficiency and safety of medical services through thorough and comprehensive assessments of healthcare institutions worldwide, thereby granting the organization substantial recognition both regionally and internationally.

In recent developments, Dubai Ambulance Service reported successfully responding to 265,000 dispatch calls, reinstating the pulse of 353 patients experiencing cardiac arrest.

The service's efforts extend to organ transportation, having successfully facilitated life-saving operations for four patients.
