Dubai Hosts Annual Arab Media Summit to Shape Future of the Industry

Global experts gather in the UAE to address challenges and opportunities in Arab media.
The Arab Media Summit, hosted in Dubai, brings together global stakeholders to discuss advancements and challenges within the media sector.

Under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, the summit has grown to include a diverse array of experts, content creators, digital platforms, and global film and gaming companies.

This year’s summit features a comprehensive agenda, including specialized forums such as the Arab Youth Media Forum, the Arab Media Forum, the Arab Media Communication Summit, alongside various workshops aimed at enhancing the quality output of different media sectors, including film production, electronic gaming, social media, podcasting, television, and journalism.

Discussions will also focus on the integration of artificial intelligence within these fields, ensuring alignment with Arab cultural and economic contexts.

The event includes academic participation from the United Arab Emirates University, which hosts a visiting professor from Japan, enriching the forum with international expertise and forward-looking aspirations for the media sector.

A highlight of the summit is the Arab Media Award, aimed at fostering development within the industry, recognizing both individuals and organizations making significant impacts on public opinion.

The event is attended by a prominent assembly of Arab figures, including ministers from Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Egypt.

The UAE is positioned as a leader in media innovation and collaboration, promoting a visionary approach for the Arab media landscape while adapting to rapid global changes.

This summit is regarded as a crucial step in mapping the future of the Arab media sector and highlighting the UAE's success in establishing itself as a significant media hub.
