Dubai Humanitarian Wins Gold Stevie Award for Technological Innovation
Recognition awarded for the development of a digital logistics data bank aimed at enhancing humanitarian aid coordination and delivery.
Dubai Humanitarian has been awarded the Gold Stevie Award in the category of Innovation in Technology within the Non-Profit Sector at the Stevie Awards for the Middle East and North Africa.
This accolade recognizes the organization's efforts in developing the leading 'Logistics Data Bank for Humanitarian Services', a digital platform designed to enhance and coordinate the delivery of humanitarian aid on a global scale.
The Logistics Data Bank for Humanitarian Services plays a critical role in emergency response efforts.
It is the first of its kind to provide real-time visibility into essential aid inventory across major humanitarian centers, starting from locations in Dubai, Italy, and Panama, with the support of customs authorities in these countries.
The platform simplifies logistical operations for aid and enables response teams to quickly and efficiently locate and transport critical supplies.
Giuseppe Saba, the Executive Director and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, expressed pride in receiving this prestigious award, marking the second Stevie Award achieved for the Logistics Data Bank for Humanitarian Services.
In his remarks, Saba noted, 'When we designed this platform in 2017, our aim was to innovate the way humanitarian aid is stored, managed, and distributed, enabling a faster and more coordinated response to crises worldwide.
Humanitarian aid is often a matter of life and death, and as an active member and host of the humanitarian community, we must continue to evolve to meet the urgent needs of those we serve.'
The Stevie Awards for the Middle East and North Africa celebrate innovation and excellence across various sectors, recognizing organizations that drive positive change through pioneering initiatives.
Dubai Humanitarian's achievement highlights the increasing role of digital transformation in the humanitarian sector and sets a new standard for efficiency and global collaboration.
