Dubai Police have recognized two residents, Mohammad Azam and Saeed Ahmad, for their integrity in returning lost valuables, including a substantial sum of money and jewelry, which they found within the jurisdiction of Naif Police Station.
The recognition took place during a ceremony where Expert Brigadier Omar Ashour, Acting Director of Naif Police Station, presented certificates of appreciation to the two men.
Brigadier Ashour emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of positive citizenship and highlighted the significance of community cooperation in enhancing public trust.
Separately, Dubai Police confirmed that no fatalities occurred following a hot air balloon incident on March 23. In a statement from the Dubai Media Office, it was confirmed that while there were injuries, they were all classified as minor to moderate, and those affected received immediate medical care.
The individuals involved hailed from various nationalities.
Preliminary findings indicated the incident was caused by deteriorating weather conditions during the landing process, and an official investigation is currently underway.
Authorities have urged the public and media to refrain from disseminating unverified information, reinforcing the importance of relying on official communications to avoid misinformation.
