Edge Enhances Partnership with Brazil's Amazon Protection Management Center
A new agreement aims to bolster communications and security initiatives in the Amazon region.
Edge, a group specializing in advanced technology and defense, has signed a new agreement with the Amazon Protection Management and Operation Center, known as 'CINSIPAM', which operates under the Brazilian Ministry of Defense.
This agreement reaffirms the commitment of both Edge and CINSIPAM to continue their collaborative efforts in managing and protecting the legal Amazon and the blue Amazon areas.
In a previous collaboration, Edge and CINSIPAM had signed a Letter of Intent at the 'Mostra BID' exhibition in Brasilia last year, aiming to acquire a highly secure communications system.
This system will be developed in partnership with 'SIA', a Brazilian company specializing in smart weapons and advanced defense systems, in which Edge holds a 50% stake.
The secure communications system will integrate Edge's highly secure 'X3M' encrypted smartphone with satellite communication links and control software from SIA, along with '9001R' encrypted radios and the 'SATCOM' link from SIA, as well as command and control software and radios from the Brazilian military industry company 'IMBEL'.
This custom-designed solution offers substantial advantages for Edge's clients in Brazil and Latin America, providing high-reliability and secure communications in remote and challenging operational environments.
