Emirates Health Services Reports Over 330,000 Prescriptions Dispensed by Robotic Pharmacy
In 2024, the robotic pharmacy service in five UAE hospitals provided prescriptions to over 260,000 patients, enhancing efficiency and reducing wait times.
The Emirates Health Services Corporation announced that its robotic pharmacy service dispensed a total of 334,284 prescriptions to 262,183 patients across five hospitals in 2024. This initiative has been part of an effort to enhance healthcare delivery, providing a more efficient and accurate service while reducing patient wait times for medications.
According to a report on the achievements of the robotic pharmacy service, the five hospitals implementing this technology include Al Qasimi Hospital, Al Qasimi Hospital for Women and Children, Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital, Abdullah Bin Imran Hospital, and Fujairah Hospital.
A detailed breakdown reveals that Fujairah Hospital dispensed 91,415 prescriptions, serving 70,613 patients.
Al Qasimi Hospital dispensed 97,356 prescriptions for 76,402 patients, while Al Qasimi Hospital for Women and Children issued 26,476 prescriptions to 20,544 patients.
Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital reported 107,218 prescriptions for 84,929 patients, and Abdullah Bin Imran Hospital provided 11,819 prescriptions, assisting 9,695 patients.
The deployment of robotic pharmacy technology is part of ongoing healthcare improvements in the UAE, aimed at increasing service efficiency and patient satisfaction.
