The attack targets a Hezbollah operative, intensifying tensions in the region.
An Israeli airstrike on a site in the southern suburbs of Beirut resulted in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to seven others, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The Israeli military stated that the airstrike aimed at Hassan Bader, identified as a member of Unit 3900 of Hezbollah and the Quds Force.
A source close to Hezbollah confirmed that the target of the airstrike was an aide responsible for Palestinian affairs within the organization.
The attack, conducted by Israeli aircraft, struck the upper floors of a building in the vicinity of Beirut, which Israeli authorities allege is affiliated with Hezbollah.
The strike was carried out without prior warning.
The Israeli Defense Forces indicated that it was executed under the direction of the Shin Bet security agency.
In response to the strike, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli action, urging Lebanon's allies to respect the country's sovereignty.
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam also criticized the airstrike, describing it as a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement established in November between Israel and Hezbollah.
