In the 29th edition of the Dubai World Cup, the horse Admire Daytona achieved a significant victory for Japan, winning the fifth race designated for thoroughbreds aged three years and older over a distance of 1,900 meters on the sand track.
The event, sponsored by Jumeirah, featured a total prize pool of $1 million.
Admire Daytona, trained by Yukihiro Kato and ridden by jockey Christophe Lemaire, completed the race in a time of 1:59:13 minutes.
The competition was fierce, with Admire Daytona clinching the first position by a narrow margin, finishing ahead of the British horse Heart of Honour, while another Japanese horse, Don in the Mood, secured third place.
